INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT PROGRAM (IOP)

What Is IOP?

K&A Associates and Mental Health’s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides structured behavioral health treatment for individuals who need more support than traditional outpatient services but do not require 24-hour residential or inpatient care.

Our IOP combines therapeutic services, behavioral health support, skill development, and care coordination to help individuals improve emotional stability, strengthen coping skills, and successfully function at home, school, work, and within their community.

Our Approach

PHP provides a highly structured therapeutic environment focused on stabilization, treatment, skill development, and preparing individuals to successfully transition to a less intensive level of care.

Treatment is individualized according to each person’s diagnosis, strengths, needs, treatment goals, and clinical recommendations.

For children and adolescents, family participation and coordination with schools and other members of the treatment team may be incorporated into care when appropriate.

For adults, treatment may focus on symptom management, emotional regulation, independent functioning, healthy relationships, and successful community living.

What to Expect

Individuals participating in PHP receive multiple therapeutic and behavioral health interventions within a structured program schedule.

Because PHP is more intensive than traditional outpatient treatment or IOP, individuals generally participate in programming more frequently while continuing to live outside of the treatment facility.
